Can you believe we’re already in the eighth month already?
The waning days of summer are upon us and soon we’ll have a nip in the air. Of course our Southern Hemisphere listeners are eagerly awaiting spring’s arrival, lucky them.
This week’s show is kinda neat. I have a couple of R&B 101 bits for you and artists FNST Radio doesn’t normally play. There are the normal great tunes and requested songs by our regular listeners. By the way, we could use a few more of you. It’s easy, just tune in every week and drop us a note, once in awhile.
Enjoy the show and stop by often.

First of all:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHI CHI !!
About this week's show. We have birthday guests including Brenton Wood, Dobie Gray and Robert Cray. Two cuts featuring the late Harvey Fuqua. There's also music from Chicago and The Carolinas and as always; requested artists from, you, the listeners.
This past week there have been listeners in Australia, Colorado, India, Great Britian, Texas, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Finland, Michigan, Holland, Illinois and even New York. It's neat seeing where everybody is and having the map full of "pins". If I missed anybody, please comment.
I'm glad y'all are enjoying the music and some of you are even laughing at the jokes. (it's okay, you don't have to admit to it in public)
Meanwhile enjoy the show and the rest of FNST's music. See you next week.

Harvey Fuqua July 27, 1929 – July 6, 2010
If (and that's the operative word) you don't know the name Harvey Fuqua, you've missed a whole lot of music history for the past 55 years.
Mr Fuqua was an awesome talent as a singer, songwriter, record producer/executive and most importantly. as a man.
He co-wrote, with Alan Freed, the song "Sincerely". One of the founding members of "The Moonglows" he later replaced everybody and in the process introduced the world to a young Marvin Gaye. Later, as an executive with Motown, he brought The Spinners, Shorty Long and Tammi Terrell on board. It was at his suggestion that Tammi was paired with Marvin and we know that story.
Perhaps his most noteworthy accomplishment was in teaching the young men and women of Motown how to behave in public.
Mr. Fuqua was a legend in his own time and one of the true gentlemen of the music world.
They simply don't come any better.
Thank you, Mr. Fuqua.
Our prayers go to his family, friends and everyone who loves music.
