December 27, 2010

It's my end of year tribute show. Just a way of remembering and saying "thank you" to those who passed in 2010.

Unfortunately, the show was completed before word came of Teena Marie's death. Nominated four times for Grammies, the lady was as talented as they come. She will be missed.

There are two special birthdays, this week. Jonette celebrates hers, today. On the 31st it's time for Ginger to have her day. May both have the best days and a great year in 2011.

If you're partying New Year's Eve please be careful.

Thank you for your support this past year.

I hope you enjoy the show

December 20, 2010

Wow, my last show before Christmas. How cool is this? This marks the 5th one of these.

I have to admit, I like this weeks' show.
There's some nice music and I have a real surprise for all of you.
Nope, not gonna tell you what it is; you have to listen at 4:00am, 3:00, 8:00 or 11:00pm EST to find out what it is.
I will tell you it is unique in the history of FNST Radio. (actually, you could listen to all four shows)

We have quite a few birthday guests as well as a listener birthday. Christmas Eve is PJ's birthday. She's been a booster of the station from the begining and has pointed others our way.
Happy Birthday, my friend.

There's some new, to the station, music this week as well as several old favorites. Even a couple of songs I'd forgotten all about. Listen for Sea Cruz and Deon Jackson to name just a couple.

Oh, before I forget, there are also a couple of new editions to fnstradio on YouTube you may want to listen to. Just a couple of tunes you won't find everyday.

Thank you for your continued support of FNST Radio.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Oops, forgot the blog for this week. It's been a little busy.
Enjoy the show and there's a big surprise next week.

December 6, 2010

First of all,

Happy Birthday Terry Crousore of The Magnificent Men!

It's actually December 5th but this is the closest I can get.

This weeks' other birthdays include: Willie Hutch, George Williams Jr. of The Tymes, Len Barry, Barbara Weathers of Atlantic Starr, Walter "Clyde" Orange of The Commodores, Jimmy Smith, Jerry Butler and the one and only Techie Gnome. There are a couple of other birthdays but you're going to have to listen to find out who.

There are a couple of new tunes. William Bell's latest and a group called "Big G" has one I think you'll enjoy.

There are also anniversaries. December 7th marks 69 years since Pearl Harbor and December 8th is 30 years since John Lennon was murdered. Seems hard to believe it's been that long, doesn't it?

I hope you have your shopping done. Funny though; nobody has asked what I wanted.

Thank you for spending part of this busy season with FNST Radio.
