1925 - 2008
This is the way I will remember Paul, for this is the way I actually met the man.
At Watkins Glen, June 1979.
He was gracious, funny and one hell of a competitor.
If he'd decided to turn to racing, instead of acting, P.L. would have been a champion in whatever he drove.
I took a picture that weekend. Paul sitting on the grid, waiting to go onto the track.
When he saw the camera pointed at him, he flipped me the bird. I think I was laughing harder than he was.
So many memories.
Thank you, Paul. Not just for the films and charity work. Thank you being a terrific human being.
A wonderful humanitarian whose legacy will live on. His art and philathropic contributions to the world have left a mark than cannot be erased. He will be dearly missed because he was loved so much.
