Just a neat pix of where FNST is being listened to. These are a few of the places.
So many people have their ISP's blocked, for privacy, that we can't see all of them but we know they're out there.

SOS, the Carolina Beach Music thing, is ended and I'm waiting to hear a report from Dan Wolfe of Class Act about how things went and who he had a chance to listen to. Maybe I can get there in the spring.

The leaves are turning and falling (ugh), we have cooler weather but the music is still hot. On the show, this week, a couple of real oldies by the Miracles recorded on the Chess label and one of them even features Claudette Robinson on lead. There's a pretty ballad by Chaka and plenty of soul.

Our birthday guests include Al Bryant of The Tempts, Marilyn McCoo, Herb Fame of Peaches & Herb and my friend, Ike Bowers of The Del-Chords & Class of 60 Somethin'.
There are some interesting songs in the mix.

Enjoy the show and pass the word.

P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, IKE!
Now you get to be a year older than me for a few days.

First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLIE AULDIST.

Thank you for the music. You're a very talented lady.

Now while our buddy, Dan Wolfe of Class Act, is in South Carolina soaking up sunshine and great music with all the Beach Music bands I'm still here putting together Monday shows. Hopefully, I'll get to travel south in the spring and catch these groups and singers "live".

Today's show is okay. There's a bunch of music and I think it "flows" pretty well.
Guess y'all can tell me after you hear it. (this is a nice way of saying I've already finished the show weeks ago and honestly don't remember a lot about it)

Anyway, enjoy. Feel free to post comments here or on FaceBook.

September 13, 2010

Well, it’s time to start the countdown to another show.
Since it’s almost 6:00am on a Saturday that must mean we’re about 48 hours to show time.

I’ll apologize for the sound of my voice, right up front. Something about cleaning with bleach…….
The music, however, is outstanding!

As I write this it’s September 11th and I’m remembering the attacks of this day. What I keep foremost in my mind is that the attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon and the tragedy of Flight 93 were carried out by terrorists. It doesn’t matter what their supposed “faith” was. Plain and simple, they were terrorists.

I’ll not blame all of Islam for the actions of a few anymore than I’ll blame all Catholics for the years of bloodshed in Ireland. Nor will I blame all Evangelicals for the current actions of a few ignorant people who would put United States military personnel in harm’s way by their foolish actions.

We, as a country, need to stop and take a deep breath. Look at the people who are ranting and raving and ask ourselves one question. “Do we really believe these people have our best interests at heart?”

Okay, I’m off my soapbox.

Enjoy the show.

HAPPY LABOR DAY WEEKEND! (well, the end of it anyway)

It’s a special show with two listener birthdays, this week.

When FNST Radio first started one of our biggest boosters was a special lady from West Virginia. Carlene helped spread the word and offered many hours of encouragement. She’s been a great friend for the past 11 years and she’s a Magnificent Men fan.

Happy Birthday, Carlene!

Our other birthday listener hasn’t been around 11 years but she sure has helped spread the word about FNST Radio. Lesley has helped gain us listeners in Australia, New Zealand, The Philippines and a few other spots. Now, if she’ll get busy and finish her Ph.D. we can have a Doctor in our midst.

Happy Birthday, Lesley!

There’s really no way to thank you both for everything. May your days be special and I hope there are many, many more.

Oops! I'm bad and I didn't check the calander. There is one more listener birthday. Shirley Williams' has her special day this week, too.

Happy Birthday, Shirley!

As for this weeks’ show. Otis Redding, Dee Dee Sharp, Coastline, a new to FNST Radio Archie Bell song, Walter Jackson and the list goes on. I hope you enjoy the music.

Thank you for spending part of your day with FNST Radio.
